ResearchRabbitResearchRabbit is a literature discovery and organization tool that helps researchers broaden their reading scope by highlighting connections between papers. Starting with a small number of relevant papers, it recommends related research in successive rounds and visualizes these connections using a citation network, making it suitable forLiterature Review and Academic ResearchTracking the progression of the study.
To get started, you can enter a keyword or DOI, or select papers from your saved Collections or an imported BibTeX file. These papers serve as “seeds,” and ResearchRabbit then searches for similar research. After browsing the results, continue selecting relevant papers; a new round of searching will use these selections to refine the recommendations.
In addition to searching for similar studies, you can also explore the earlier research cited in a paper, subsequent studies that cite it, and related authors. An interactive network map brings these relationships together, making it easier to discover different lines of research on the same topic.
Articles can be saved to Collections and subcollections, and organized using notes, color-coding, and other methods. Research groups can share collections; if you already have Zotero data, you can authorize its import into selected collections. To bring new discoveries back into your citation manager, you can export them as BibTeX.
Importing and exporting in Zotero are two separate operations. The official Importer documentation still lists two-way synchronization as a feature under development; therefore, it is best to view this as a data exchange process, and you should not assume that changes on both sides will automatically be kept in sync.
ResearchRabbit is suitable for users who have already identified a few key papers and wish to track related studies and discover missing literature. Recommendations are influenced by the selection of seed papers; including irrelevant papers may skew the search results. Systematic reviews should still be conducted in conjunction with library databases and reproducible search strategies.
