OpenAI's New King Bomb: ChatGPT Search Goes Global: Real-Time Search and Advanced Speech

• Advanced voice, in advanced voice mode, users can have more natural multi-round search conversations with ChatGPT, more like a voice search butler; mobile optimization, users can better use the search function on Android, iOS, tablet and other mobile devices, with an efficiency improvement of more than 40%.
• Map Integration, ChatGPT now integrates a brand new map function, which allows users to view the surrounding geolocation information directly in the search results for route planning and location exploration. Unlike in October, one of the new ChatGPT search features OpenAI demonstrated was the ability for users to set the default search engine to prioritize the presentation of results that specifically point to links to certain sites, such as results that point to pages on travel booking sites like Netflix or Bookingsc.om.

OpenAI also demonstrated that a user can request a query for a Mexican-style restaurant in the Mission area of San Francisco, for example, in a conversation with GDP, and after GTP gives some search results including pictures, and then adds that it wants a restaurant that can provide outdoor barbecue, GPT provides new search results on top of that, and you can view a map related to the restaurant on your phone.

The most impressive, and most significant update to OpenAI's search feature in this Monday's demo was the combination of the feature with Advanced Voice, ChatGPT's advanced voice mode. When users activate Advanced Voice mode, they can search by voice query, which is activated by pressing the Audio Waveform button in the bottom compose bar to ask GPT to provide the information the user is looking for, such as the latest information about what's going on in their travel destination over the Christmas period, the latest local weather forecast, or even event ideas.
